World Youth Day Update

Online GivingAs was mentioned at Mass, the travel company with whom our the Alaska World Youth Day pilgrims had made arrangements has declared bankruptcy. Graciously, the Alaska Conference of Catholic Bishops (ACCB) has exhausted their reserves so that our young people can go. However, those reserves need to be replenished. In solidarity with our bishops, St. Benedict Parish will match any gift to the World Youth Day pilgrims up to $10,000. To a make a donation, click on the “Online Giving” icon here or in the upper left hand corner of our homepage. Then select the “World Youth Day Emergency Fund” and follow the instructions. There will also be a special collection will be taken up in the Archdiocese on the weekend of June 29-30, 2013. Many thanks and God bless you. – Fr. Leo

St. Benedict Parish is a Roman Catholic community of faith located in Anchorage Alaska,
    in the Archdiocese of Anchorage.

We are a community of Christian stewards, working to live and preach to the Word of God
   in thought, word and deed.

We do this by the joyful and reverent celebration of the Sacraments of the Church and by
the intentional formation of disciples of Christ, so that we may witness to the Gospel of
Jesus Christ to all that we meet in our local community.

Please join us in our mission of faith to the people of Southwest Anchorage!”
