Dear Parents and Guardians,
Enclosed is a letter from Archbishop Schwietz endorsing the “You Matter” safe environment program to be used in our parish religious education program.
The material “You Matter” will be presented to our religious education classes on Sunday April 13. This program is divided into appropriate age and grade activities which reflect the teachings of the Catholic Church. There is a coloring book designed for children in kindergarten through third grade, an activity book for fourth through eighth grade and a video for high school youth. The material will be presented in each classroom.

I invite and encourage you to review the material prior to April 13th. There are several ways to review the materials:

A copy will be available to look at the school during CCD classes

We encourage parents to attend class with your child on April 13th. If you decide you do not want your child to participate, please sign and return the “opt out” form below.
Recognizing the role of parents as primary educators of their children in the faith, we encourage you to share this material and talk with your children about these safety issues. Please do not hesitate to call or e-mail if you have any questions.
